OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional support to our dental team and care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including periodontics and Implant dentistry.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for various treatments.
Perform X-ray imaging as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately using Eaglesoft systems.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow in the office.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health is essential.
Familiarity with medical coding practices is advantageous.
Strong understanding of infection control standards in a clinical setting.
Proficiency in using Dentrix Ascend or similar dental software systems is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with patients and team members.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing environments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.33 - $20.30 per hour
Expected hours: 32 â 40 per week
