Responsibilities

• Provide preventative dental care and hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, scaling and root planing, and fluoride treatments

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, home care routines, and treatment options

• Take and review digital x-rays and periodontal charting

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation

• Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns with empathy and care

• Sterilize and maintain hygiene instruments and equipment according to OSHA standards

• Collaborate with dentists and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care

• Stay current with CE requirements and evolving best practices in dental hygiene
