OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the office, ensuring a smooth workflow, and providing exceptional service to our patients. This role requires a blend of clerical skills and familiarity with dental office procedures, making it essential for maintaining an efficient and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar effectively.
Perform insurance verification and handle patient billing inquiries.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or eClinicalWorks.
Assist in managing office supplies and inventory for the clinic.
Support the dental team with clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the office environment.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and appointment reminders.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office management is preferred.
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus.
Proficient in using dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, Epic).
Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
