Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Temporary Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. This role will cover while a team member is out on maternity leave. This may potentially lead to a permanent position with the right fit.
Experienced is preferred. We are a busy cosmetic restorative practice in the Uptown Park area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting dentists during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
Take and record vital signs of patients to ensure their health and safety.
Manage patient records, including maintaining accurate medical records and updating medical history.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Perform dental imaging procedures as directed, including X-rays and other diagnostic imaging.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to comply with health regulations.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following qualifications:

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and holds an active RDA license- mandatory.
Familiarity with general cosmetic dental practices and procedures, implant dentistry is highly a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients.
A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
