Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Monday from 7:45am until 5:00pm. Fridays from7:45 am until Noon.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist dentists during procedures by providing necessary support and ensuring patient comfort.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and tracking treatment plans.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatrics and general dentistry services.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Experience

Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health, as well as infection control procedures.
Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with a passion for working with children.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
A valid dental hygienist license is required.
