Dental Hygienist (RDH)-1 Year Experience Preferred - Thomas Wesley Mitchell, DDS, LLC - Findlay, OH

Phillips Dental Care Center is a thriving private dental practice located in the heart of Findlay, OH. We are looking to add another kind, professional, and skilled Dental Hygienist to our team! The position is able to be Full-Time or Part-Time depending on your needs. Our office hours are M-W 8:30am-5:00pm and Thurs 7am-3pm. Hours: 3 or 4 days/wk depending on your needs Duties: Prepare treatment rooms & implement infection control policies and procedures Review patient health and dental history and update as necessary Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients Perform scaling, root planning, and selective polishing for patients as appropriate Polish restorations Take radiographs as prescribed by dentist Apply cavity-preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants Sterilize dental instruments and stock/organize treatment rooms Chart/document patient visits clearly and accurately in our electronic medical record system Educate patients on oral care and provide instructions following dental procedures in an understandable and professional way Schedule patient appointments at the end of each visit Help in other areas of the office as necessary Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education and any required training necessary for the position Create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable patient environment Knowledge and Skills: Quick learner Self-motivated Dependable Works well as a team member Patient-centered & great bedside manner Ability to multi-task Proficient with computers/EMR technology Appreciates a fast-paced working environment Required : Must be licensed to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Ohio Must have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program Dental X-ray License valid in Ohio Preferred: Experience providing prophylaxis and taking X-rays A Terrific Opportunity!
