OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health, perform preventive care, and assist in various dental procedures. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy.
Conduct thorough assessments of patientsâ oral health, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.
Review and update treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental office management software is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
Knowledge of aseptic technique practices within a dental setting.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
