Job SummaryA single-doctor private dental office in Niagara Falls is seeking an energetic dental hygienist. We are a PPO office and do not accept state insurance.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Assist the dentist during procedures by providing support through four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix and other systems, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly documented.
Monitor vital signs as necessary during patient visits to ensure their safety and comfort.
Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
Ability to work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and other staff members.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards patient care.
Previous experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
