Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Take digital x-rays on patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and document medical histories, including vital signs, for all patients.
Review documentation and maintain accurate dental records using Dentrix software.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with dentist to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Skills
Proficient in performing dental hygiene tasks on a variety of patients.
Strong understanding of aseptic technique to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management systems.
Knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
Solid understanding of dental anatomy and its relevance to patient care.
Ability to maintain accurate dental records on your patients.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in educating patients about oral health.
