Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Grand Valley Dentistry - Troy, MI

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Perform X-Ray imaging as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Assist in endodontic procedures, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and available.
Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure infection control throughout all procedures.
Implement four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Manage dental systems effectively, including sterilization of instruments and organization of the workspace.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and endodontics is advantageous.
Proficiency in medical documentation practices and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Strong grasp of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to work collaboratively with dental professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
