Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, performing preventive procedures, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient medical histories, including vital signs and any relevant medical records.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management and scheduling.
Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans, particularly in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry cases.
Maintain accurate records of treatments performed and patient interactions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental terminology and medical coding is preferred.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records effectively.
Knowledge of vital signs assessment and infection control practices.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
