Dental Assistant - Entry Level or Experienced - Max Uyeda DDS - Honolulu, HI

Greetings! I am currently hiring a dental assistant for my small dental office. I have one assistant and one receptionist and am looking to add another assistant.
I am searching specifically for someone who is outgoing. Dental Assisting is a social job, requiring the ability to speak effectively with patients about treatments, post-operative instructions, small talk, etc.
Work history in a service sector is a plus. No prior dental assisting experience is required.
This is a Full-time dental assistant position - four-day work weeks.
The schedule is Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (off Wednesday) 8AM-5PM. We work a full day Saturday (8-5) once every three weeks. On the weeks that we work Saturday we are off on Thursday as well as our normal Wednesday (all weeks are four-day work weeks).
There will be times when you may be asked to come to the office for emergency patients outside of normal work hours. This is very infrequent, I have had only one call-in in the last 3 years, but if it does happen I need an employee to be with me (for legal reasons).
You may also be asked to handle reception duties from time to time.
Work expectations:

Be able to navigate a computer - we use a lot of electronic equipment and our charting is done on the computer.
Be able to type at a reasonable speed.
Be able to reliably set up for procedures - dentistry has A LOT of equipment. We will teach you the different equipment and give you time to learn.
Be welcoming to patients and help them feel comfortable.
Be able to tolerate surgery - I do a fair amount of surgery, if you can't handle seeing blood, this is not the position for you! If you are not sure if you can tolerate watching surgery, you can come watch a surgery and see how you do.
Be able to take x-rays. We will teach you.
Be a team player.
Be able to help maintain the kitchen and staff area.

One thing about me as an owner is I understand how difficult it can be to learn a new job. It took me years of education to get to where I am now and am still learning every day. I will be patient, help you learn at a reasonable speed, and expect mistakes.
$19/hr for no experience
$20/hr for one to two years of experience
$22/hr for more than three years of experience.
Willing to consider a higher wage with more than 10 years of experience.
