Dental Hygienist needed in our Los Angeles, CA dental office

Job Description:

Westchester Dental Arts is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our team. This position starts as a temporary role with the potential to transition into full-time. We’re looking for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, efficient with time, and comfortable working independently while supporting a high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine dental cleanings, SRPs, and periodontal maintenance
• Take and chart digital X-rays(full mouth, bitewings, panoramic)
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Perform oral cancer screenings
• Take iTero scans for Invisalign and restorative procedures and nightguards 
• Maintain accurate clinical notes in Open Dental
• Work collaboratively with the doctor and team to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care
• Apply fluoride treatments and desensitizing agents

• Identify and communicate any signs of dental disease or oral abnormalities to the dentist

• Assist in planning and explaining treatment options with the dentist

Requirements:

• Active California RDH license
• Minimum 2 year of experience preferred
• Familiarity with Open Dental and iTero is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to manage a schedule of 9–10 patients efficiently

Schedule:

• Temp with potential for full-time
• Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm
• At least 1 hour lunch break

Pay:
$500/day
Minimum of 9–10 patients/day expected
