Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in San Marcos Ca, CA
Dental Hygienist – Part-Time (Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Flexible)
Location: Lake San Marcos, CA
We are a well-established private dental practice located in the beautiful Lake San Marcos community. Proudly serving our patients for over 35 years, we are deeply rooted in a vibrant retirement community and known for providing compassionate, individualized dental care. Our team treats every patient like family, and we’re excited to grow with someone who shares our values.
As our patient base continues to grow, we are looking to welcome a third Registered Dental Hygienist to our close-knit team. You’ll be working alongside two experienced hygienists and a dedicated dental team that prioritizes quality care and a positive work environment.
Schedule:
- Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (24 hours a week on average but we are flexible)
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible)
- 30 minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial patient screenings and review oral health history
- Identify oral health conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis
- Deliver preventative dental care, including plaque removal and fluoride applications
- Educate patients of all ages on effective oral hygiene practices
- Provide post-operative care instructions after dental procedures
- Take X-rays and dental impressions as needed
- Support dentists in developing appropriate treatment plans, including screenings for oral cancer
- Use dental lasers (must be certified)
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of California
- Laser certification required
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Experience with older adults is a plus, but not required

Pay: $57.00 - $67.00 per hour
