Looking for an amazing Dental Hygiene Coordinator to join the best dental team. As a Dental Hygiene Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental hygiene department which is the foundation of our practice. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, coordinating patient care, managing records, and providing excellent customer service. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will help us deliver top-quality care to our patients. Being part of the front office means you are the first person our patients speak with and the first person they see. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Coordination: Schedule and confirm dental hygiene appointments as well as act as the liaison between the dentist and the patient, clearly explaining treatment plans, procedures, and post-treatment care.
- Scheduling: Manage and optimize the appointment schedule to ensure efficient use of time and resources as well as reaching out to unscheduled patients
- Insurance: Assist with administrative tasks, including inputting insurance information, EOBs, verifications and auditing schedule for expected copays.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and financial agreements.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Collaboration: Work with dental hygienists and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Financial Arrangements: General knowledge of presenting and discussing financial options with patients, including insurance benefits, payment plans, and financing options.
- Patient Education: Be able to discuss our range of services as well as key things to be aware of after certain procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
- A compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and phone skills
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (experience with Dentrix is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental administration is a plus.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.
