Dental Assistant - Aquario Dental - Houston, TX

We are looking for a competent, driven & focused Dental Assistant with at least 1 year experience working as a dental assitant. We are a Pedo office, so experience with kids is a huge plus and Pedo experience will be preferred! The ideal candidate will work as a team member to ensure the patient flow runs smoothly.
Office Hours: Tuesday – Friday 10:30-7:30p & Saturdays 9:30-3:30p *CLOSED MON & SUN*
*Some Mondays when kids are out of school we will open*
Pay $13-$20/hr. depends on experience
General Summary of Duties:

Greet Patients and Families
Provide excellent customer service and build trust with patients and their families
Scheduling/rescheduling appointments when needed
Bringing back patients to get x-rays
Taking x-ray diagnostics
Assisting the dentist
Conducting patient chart audits
Maintain and check patient information
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including flexibility, priority setting, problem solving, and conflict resolutions
Maintain highly positive attitude
Utilize time and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Skills

ACTIVE RDA LICENSE REQUIRED
Bilingual (English & Spanish) REQUIRED
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Good computer skills
Basic Math Skills
Experience using Open Dental preferred
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional certification or training is a plus
