Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and hygiene, educating patients on proper dental care, and assisting in various dental procedures.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Document patient histories and maintain accurate records using dental terminology.
Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Assist the dentist with various procedures, including fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting to insurance or medical coding.
Maintain equipment and instruments in accordance with safety standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is preferred; experience with pediatrics is a plus.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques related to dentistry.
Strong understanding of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Ability to perform documentation review efficiently and accurately.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
