Core Duties

• Review patients’ medical and dental histories prior to treatment.
• Assess oral health conditions by examining the teeth, gums, and related tissues.
• Identify and document signs of oral diseases, conditions, or abnormalities.
• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to prevent tooth decay
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
•  Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Administer local anesthesia, laser and nitrous oxide (if licensed to do so).
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and front-office staff to ensure excellent patient care.
