Ellis Orthodontics is looking for a friendly, motivated, and skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Mt. Laurel! We are also open to training the right person! Qualifications (per NJ state requirements) To work as an Orthodontic Assistant in New Jersey, candidates must have: CDA, RDA, or COA certification Certified Dental Radiographer license If necessary, we may consider a CDA who is working toward obtaining required certifications. Candidates coming from Pennsylvania must hold an Expanded Functions certification. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Working closely with patients and maintaining strong communication with both patients and team members regarding treatment progress Assisting the doctor chairside and taking initiative as an independent self-starter Performing intraoral adjustments and preparing patients for banding and bonding Assisting with Invisalign treatment, including bonding attachments and patient instruction Removing braces and taking x-rays, photographs, and iTero scans Taking impressions for appliances and fabricating retainers, night guards, and mouthguards Maintaining sterilization and treatment room readiness Utilizing practice management software ( Orthotrac experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train!)
