Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist with various clinical skills. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We work Monday - Thursday and get to have a 3 day weekend. Our hours are 7 AM - 2 PM for CRNA day and 730 AM - 4:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch break other days. Duties - Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. - Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. - Take X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. - Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software systems such as Dentrix. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Have the ability to coronal polish. - Support sedation procedures during CRNA days. - Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to effectively communicate with both patients and team members Qualifications - Coronal polish for recalls - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. - Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix. - Familiarity with X-ray technology, coronal polishing and safety protocols. - Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and endodontic procedures is advantageous. - Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. - Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. - A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills are essential.
