Position Summary: (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, detail-oriented, and loves working with children. You’ll work closely with our pediatric dentist to provide exceptional clinical care and help make every visit a positive experience for our young patients and their families. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist in all aspects of pediatric dental care and procedures Perform EFDA duties, including placing restorations, sealants, and temporary crowns Take dental radiographs (x-rays) Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment Provide chairside assistance during exams and treatments Educate parents and children on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Ensure infection control and sterilization protocols are strictly followed Help maintain a friendly, calm, and welcoming atmosphere for children Support front office and clinical team members as needed Qualifications: Active EFDA certification in the state of Pennsylvania Current CPR/BLS certification Previous experience in pediatric or family dentistry preferred Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient manner Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Passion for helping children feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair What We Offer: Competitive pay (based on experience) Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for continuing education and professional growth Supportive and positive team culture A bright, cheerful, and modern office environment designed for kids How to Apply: If you’re a compassionate and energetic EFDA who loves working with kids, we’d love to meet you!
