Overview We are seeking an upbeat, kind, and driven individual to serve as a Dental Assistant with our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by collaborating with all office team members in creating an inviting and calm experience for our patients. The ability to multitask and think quickly "on your feet" in an at times fast-paced environment. Proficiency in dental terminology and an understanding of anatomy relevant to dental care. Prior experience with Dentrix or similar dental software preferred. X-Ray Certification. Coronal Polish Certification, preferred. CPR-BLS Certification. Infection Control Certification. Duties would include: Follow all infection control, OSHA and HIPAA guidelines . Assist dentist during various dental procedures. Preparing treatment rooms by cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Maintaining supplies in each room. Instrument sterilization. Capture and record digital X-ray images as required for patient assessments. Maintain accurate patient records using patient management software, Dentrix. Coordinate with other team members in ensuring patients' needs are met in a professional manner. This position will likely include some cross-training in back and front office duties. This would include managing appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients and possibly collections calls with dental benefit (âinsuranceâ) companies and managing/settling patient accounts.
