Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Palm Harbor, FL
Job Summary Massey Dentistry, official team dentist of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing various hygiene procedures. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health, educate patients on proper dental care, and maintain accurate medical records. Available to work: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. $40 hourly pay with monthly collection bonuses. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process. Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, providing care tailored to younger patients. Maintain strict infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs. Keep up-to-date with dental terminology and medical coding practices relevant to the field. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in general dentistry practices is preferred. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control procedures and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients. Ability to work well within a team environment while providing exceptional patient care. Commitment to continuing education in the field of dentistry.
