Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Utilize a 3D scanner for capturing accurate impressions as needed. Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and ensuring the cleanliness of the treatment area. Record and update patient medical documentation accurately, including vital signs and treatment plans. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, procedures, and post-care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic to optimize efficiency. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in general dentistry practices and familiarity with dental terminology. Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures. Experience with medical documentation systems such as Epic is a plus. Ability to take vital signs accurately and communicate findings effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is highly desirable.
