Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Lake Oswego, OR
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team! Office schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm. Duties Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays and operatories, clean operatories, prepares materials, and assists Dentist during dental procedures. Take dental x-rays Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and charting. Including treatment planning, updating medical histories, etc. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatments. Assist with inventory management and ordering dental supplies. Responsible for opening and closing the operatories and sterile area each work day. Adhere to all infection control, safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations. Skills Can work independently, strong communication skills, good time management skills, and a team player. Proficient with Dentrix for scheduling and documentation or willing to learn. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information at all times. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices essential for safe chairside assisting. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently by working seamlessly alongside the dentist during procedures. Education Required Education : High school diploma or GED License : Dental Assistant and Dental Radiology license Preferred License : Oregon EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) and Sealant certification Experience Less than 2 years of experience?
