MUST BE A REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT Overview We are seeking a positive and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our 27 year old private, fee for service dental practice in Denton consisting of a small, close knit group of long term employees. Current Assistant is moving out of town and has been with us for a decade. Prior experience withEaglesoft is highly valued. Pay based on experience and prefer at least a couple of years experience. Hours Monday- Thursday 8am-5:30 pm with lunch from 12-1. Friday mornings available for non patient time activities if more hours needed. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take diagnostic X-rays Record vital signs and medical history information accurately Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout treatment Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols Support administrative tasks including answering phones, managing patient records, and assisting with front office and hygiene when necessary. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred Proficiency with Eaglesoft Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience performing X-ray procedures Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry, and general dental assisting skills Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Retirement plan Uniform allowance Work Location: In person
