Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and record vital signs and medical histories for patients Assist with patient assessment and education on oral health maintenance Use medical imaging equipment to capture necessary diagnostic images Provide chairside assisting during various dental procedures, including general dentistry and pediatric treatments Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Ensure the clinical environment adheres to safety standards and infection control guidelines Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes Experience in pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry, and general dentistry is highly desirable Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced setting Prior experience with dental office or clinic environments is preferred Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and medical terminology is advantageous Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
