Work Environment Modern office setting Family-oriented team culture Responsibilities Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleanings, X-rays, and fluoride treatments Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations Conduct patient assessments and screenings to identify oral health issues Assist the dentist during procedures and offer chairside support as needed Maintain accurate and detailed patient records (medical history, treatment plans, progress notes) Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, sterile environment Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Skills & Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred) Proficiency in medical coding and documentation systems Experience with pediatric patients is a plus Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) Strong knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting Excellent communication skills for patient education and interaction Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment Please note: This job description is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
