Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Glendale, AZ

Please read before applying:
Read through this thoroughly to understand who we are and what we are doing. We’ve had so applicants that apply and have no idea even the name of the practice that they are applying for.
We are looking for somebody to want to be a part of something different than a generic run of the mill dental office. So, look over the website and have an understanding of what makes our office different. Then if it’s something you think you’d like to know more about, feel free to apply or ask questions.

Our office is located in Glendale. On the corner of 51st Ave. and Cactus Road. We work four days per week.
M, Tu, Th 9-5 and Friday 8-4. We take Wednesdays off. We do that to have more free time with family and doing the things we love.
We do NOT do huddles and talk about money or collections. We don’t aim to and make as much money as possible for the practice and squeeze money out of people. Where the opposite of nearly every office out there. We are looking for ways to make it affordable so that people can afford to get their treatment done.
We’re not a corporate office. We aim to make a difference. We are the most affordable Dental Office in Arizona by design. But that doesn’t mean we skimp on paying our employees well. If you’re good at your job you will be compensated more than fairly.
We have digital everything. CBCT, pano, X-rays, charts ect. You will need to know or willing to learn to use a scanner for crown and bridge. Also, you must know the basics that every assistant should know of cord packing, making temps, ect. We will push you to do more. To do better. That makes you more valuable. We will ask you what your long-term goals are. If it’s to be the best assistant or EFDA or a hygienist or anything else, we will do everything we can to help you get to the next level.
We aim to do exceptional work. And just because we are affordable does not make what we’re doing cheap. The office is newly built out 4 years ago. So it is nice and clean. With that, we aim to make a difference in our community.
I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I like input from our assistants. If you have a way things can be more efficient or better, let me know. If a patient ever mistreats you or talks down to any one of us, we dismiss them. If you see a problem with treating a certain patient, you tell the docs and we won’t see that patient. We don’t tolerate nonsense, rudeness, or anything of that nature, especially toward staff.
When you’re with us, you come first, not money, and not the patient. We are a family and we treat each other like it. We look out for one another and help one another. Luckily, this is not a problem we experience very often but assistants need to know how important and valued they are.
We are a small practice on purpose. We love it being small and we’re not trying to take over the dental world. We are only 2 docs, 2 assistants, 1 hygienist, and 1 office manager. Most days it’s just one doctor two assistants and our office manager.
You would be the second assistant in that mix. Our first assistant is amazing. She’s EFDA and not even 30 years old yet. Super smart, nice, and just amazing at her job. Our office manager is younger as well. In her late 20s. Knows insurances in and out and is amazing. we lost our last assistant because she has young children and her family dynamic changed and she is no longer able to do childcare. So she must stay with her children. We understand and support her family and we will miss her.
Our schedule is typically one column of new patients and one column of treatment. When the hygienist is there, she has her own column of treatment.
Part of the benefit of working here is being flexible to go on vacations with your family. We don’t want to spend our life in the dental office. We have great jobs and schedule that allow us the freedom to live our lives the way we would like. So this is something that interests you feel free to reach out, we would love to hear from you.
