Empower Business Strategies in supporting an Endodontics office in Parsippany, NJ, in seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Endodontist Assistant. The ideal candidate will assist the endodontist during procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, and maintain high standards of infection control. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards Assist the endodontist during root canals and other endodontic procedures Take and develop digital X-rays and CBCT scans as needed Provide patient education on procedures and post-operative care Document treatment information accurately in patient records Manage inventory and maintain organized clinical supplies Support patient intake, consent forms, and medical history reviews Travel to other office locations as needed to support patient care and team coverage Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred. Minimum of 2 years in Dental assisting (Required) Valid dental assistant certification/license (as required by state regulations). X-ray certification required. Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental setting; endodontic experience is highly preferred. Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, TDO) is a plus. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude Friendly, professional demeanor with a positive attitude and good energy Work Environment: Clinical setting with exposure to dental instruments, X-ray machines, and sterilization equipment. May require lifting/moving light equipment and occasional standing for extended periods Office Hours: Office hours vary slightly by location, with most offices open between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Scheduled work hours may not always align exactly with these times, so some flexibility is expected based on office needs and patient scheduling.
