Orthodontic Assistant - SmartSmiles Orthodontics - Montgomery, AL

We are looking for a dedicated, mature, highly motivated person to join our team as an orthodontic assistant. Prior experience as an orthodontic assistant is preferred, but we would be willing to train the right person. SmartSmiles Orthodontics is a relatively small orthodontic practice in Montgomery, Alabama. We have been in practice since 1995. We pride ourselves on putting the best interests of our patients before the best interests of our practice. This is not a slogan to post on our website, it is the way we run the practice. We treat patients with braces and aligners. The majority of our aligner cases and treated with aligners made in our office using our intra-oral scanner and 3D printer. We offer a competitive salary based on experience, paid vacation, and sick leave after the first year. We are willing to train the right person even with no prior experience in orthodontics. Because training someone requires a huge investment of time and resources, we will make a great effort to ensure that the candidate would be a good fit for our practice. Honest communication is paramount for this process, and we may meet with a prospective team member several times if necessary, before hiring. We also provide an employee manual and a document that states our expectations to every team member. To try to achieve a better “work / life balance”, we adopted a unique work schedule several years ago. We work Monday through Thursday in Montgomery. We also see patients in Tallassee on Fridays approximately once every 5-6 weeks. (Transportation to and from Tallassee is provided). Approximately every 4thweek is an “off week” where we do not see patients. This position would include answering the phone, and doing lab and office work while rest of the team is off that week.
