Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Charlotte, NC
Overview We are seeking a friendly, skilled DAII to join our dynamic, high-end periodontal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, outstanding communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to promoting oral health. Key Responsibilities Perform all NC DAII expanded functions, set up and break down rooms for advanced procedures, and support the doctor by identifying instruments and maintaining a clear field of view. Assist confidently with root canals, implants, grafting, and complex cases, and handle tasks such as banding teeth, placing matrices, polishing, smoothing restorations, and delivering nightguards with basic adjustments. Capture mid-procedure endo PAs, complete FMXs efficiently, take properly positioned limited-FOV CBCTs, and obtain all required PAs, bitewings, and accurately labeled intraoral photos before the doctor arrives. Work efficiently when preparing rooms for patients, keeping rooms fully stocked and adjusting when treatment plans change. Provide clear post-op instructions, answer patient questions, and help address basic concerns while making sure their next visit is scheduled. Convert limited exams to comprehensive ones when needed, add same-day treatment when appropriate, and ensure full histories and signed treatment plans are completed before starting care.
