What you’ll do Responsibilities: - Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a range of procedures, including root canal therapy, extractions, impressions, and temporary crown fabrication, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort. - Maintain and update patients’ dental EMR accurately. - Maintain compliance with dental office protocols, including weekly spore testing, Quarterly waterline testing, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe and regulatory-compliant environment. - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe, sanitary, and compliant clinical environment. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide clear postoperative care instructions to support their recovery and long-term dental health. - Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and a seamless clinical experience. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes to ensure accurate record-keeping. Preferred qualifications Experience with 3D scanning technology for enhanced diagnostic capabilities. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable. Proficiency in Dentrix or similar EMR systems is a plus.
