Dental Assistant - Morris Plains Center for Dentistry - Parsippany Troy Hills, NJ

Job Summary: Looking for a dental assistant for a growing dental practice. We are looking for someone who is warm and friendly who can help make patients feel at ease during dental procedures. Candidate should have great interpersonal skills, be very hardworking, and professional. Candidate should be punctual and ensure that operatory room is set up ahead of patient’s appointment time. Candidate should have prior successful experience with references working in a dental setting. Candidate must have a valid x-ray certification license. Job Responsibilities: Turn on/off compressor and all units at start/end of each day Ensure all dental chair water bottles are filled completely at the start of each day Fill/empty ultrasonic cleaner at start/end of each day Set up/clean up operatory before/after each dental procedure Bring patients into operatory and make them comfortable before dentist comes in Assist dentist chairside during each dental procedure Disinfect room meticulously after each patient Obtain needed radiographs before and during each procedure Sterilize instruments in ultrasonic cleaner and autoclave Restock rooms with instruments after autoclave is finished Keep track of inventory in operatories and supply room to ensure materials are ordered before they run out Walk patients to front desk for checkout after procedure to ensure a smooth transition for checkout and scheduling of next appointment Run weekly spore testing of autoclave and clean autoclave with chamber brite powdered solution regularly Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: Continuing education credits Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Paid time off License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054 (Required) Work Location: In person
