Dental Hygienist - Draper Family Dentistry - San Ramon, CA

We are looking for an outgoing hygienist with strong interpersonal skills to join our family dental office. Current dental hygienist license is required. Our privately owned modern, fully digital practices provide restorative care, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, extractions, and implant restorations. Job Responsibilities: · Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, needed x-rays, diagnosing treatment as seen, head and neck inspection, and dental charting. · Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth. · Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g. fluorides) · Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling). Qualifications: · Associate or advanced degree in Dental Hygiene · State certification/license as required to work as a Hygienist. · One year or more of relevant experience in the dental industry. New Grads considered. · Possess a strong commitment to patient care, patient health and quality work. · Reliable, accountable, and team player is a must. · Must be able to take x-rays in one-hour slots for cleaning and x-rays. · Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) · In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) · Outstanding communication skills · A patient and friendly personality * Flexibility required · Alternating days of the week 8am-5pm (Every Tuesday, Every other Monday and Wednesday) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required) Work Location: In person
