Position: Lead Dental Assistant / Clinical Team Leader What Weâre Looking For A seasoned âboss-modeâ dental assistantâsomeone who is assertive, organized, proactive, and comfortable coaching and directing other assistants. You should be the type of person who sees what needs to be done and makes it happen without being asked. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Lead, guide, and support the dental assisting team throughout the day Ensure assistants are prepared, productive, and following systems consistently Maintain clinical schedules and flow to keep the day running smoothly Hold team members accountable to standards and expectations Chairside & Clinical Excellence Provide high-quality chairside assisting for pediatric, orthodontic, and general procedures Prepare operatories, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA/infection-control standards Anticipate provider needs during procedures Assist with digital dentistry (iTero scanning, radiographs, digital workflows) Organization & Systems Oversee setup, breakdown, and readiness of clinical areas Monitor supplies and place orders when needed Train new assistants and help develop existing team members Implement systems that increase efficiency and elevate patient care Patient Experience Communicate confidently with patients and families Provide clear after-care instructions and support Maintain our practiceâs reputation for warm, high-quality, personalized service Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a dental assistant Proven ability to lead, coach, or supervise a clinical team Strong organizational and communication skills A natural âtake-chargeâ personality who excels in a fast-paced environment Radiology certification required iTero or digital scanning experience preferred Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Who Thrives in This Role Someone who is: Assertive and confident Comfortable giving direction Highly organized with strong follow-through Passionate about maintaining high clinical standards Motivating, energetic, and supportive while holding others accountable Proud to run a tight operation with excellence In other words⦠the person who reads this and thinks, âThis is literally me.â Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental benefits Paid time off Paid holidays Opportunities for growth, continuing education, and leadership development To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note describing why youâre the ideal fit for a leadership-level dental assisting role.
