This position puts patients at ease while practicing and performing excellent hygiene techniques including assessing oral health conditions, applying sealants and fluorides, utilizing appropriate cleaning techniques, creating accurate impressions, taking and recording dental digital radio graphs and providing exceptional patient education. JOB DESCRIPTION: Dental Hygienist ❑ Pivotal Dental Hygienist Role ❑ Be part of a dynamic, growing business ❑ Join the Leader of “Wow” Customer Service at Parker Family Dentistry ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ● Provide superior patient care and customer service by making the patient the #1 priority ● Screen and assess oral health conditions for all new patients and recall patients ● Verify patient health history (review basic health status, medications and understand the impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient's chart ● Thoroughly and efficiently perform clinical hygiene functions including but not limited to exposing/evaluating diagnostic radiographs, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy and co-assessing possible restorative treatments with the doctor. Complete periodontal charting per guidelines ● Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain optimal oral health (ex. toothbrushing, flossing, nutritional counseling) ● Screen for oral cancer ● Offer fluoride treatment to all patients Perfect for: -Anyone who truly cares for others -Those who work hard but can have FUN while doing it -Anyone interested in joining a growing dental family :) -Anyone who wants to love dentistry again!! Basic computer knowledge and experience with dental management software experience. Open Dental experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in fast paced, patient-focused environment. Detail oriented. Dental hygienist must be aware of and follow state specific rules and protocols. Interpersonal skills. Organizational skills. Qualifications (Experience, Education, License, Certification) Previous dental hygienist experience preferred . Meet state requirements for Dental hygiene duties, continuing education or license; Basic Life Support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate, and radiography certificate.
