Dental Assistant - NKY Smile Company - Fort Mitchell, KY

Our team is growing and we are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience with chair side assisting, radiology, sterilization, universal precaution, customer service, and dental terminology. Duties: - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) - Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse - Serve as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment - Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures - Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health - Perform various office tasks as necessary Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Radiology certificate-Coronal polishing certificate - State certification/licensure as required to work as a Dental Assistant - Experience with patient assessment, dental documentation, HIPPA compliance - Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients on oral hygiene strategies - Ability to work well in a team environment Benefits: We offer competitive pay based on experience along with the following benefits: - Dental insurance - Paid time off -401K with 3% match Fridays off and no evening hours.
