Chairside Dental Assistant, Part Time - Steckelberg Dental - Lincoln, NE

We are an established one-doctor general family dentist office in south Lincoln looking for a part-time Dental Assistant. Both new graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. As a General Dentistry practice, we have a varied workload in all facets of dentistry, including Pediatrics, Implant Dentistry, Periodontics, Dental Sleep Medicine, and Prosthodontics, but the majority of our time is spent doing preventative and restorative dentistry. Key Responsibilities Assist dentist during dental procedures, including fabrication of temporary crowns. Take and process X-rays, as well as intraoral and extraoral photographs. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. Take accurate impressions of patients' teeth for the creation of study models, custom trays, mouthguards, appliances and temporary crowns/bridges. Educate patients and provide post-op instructions for dental procedures. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts, progress notes, and digital imaging, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Qualifications: Graduate of Accredited Dental Assisting School Previous experience in a dental office, is a plus Dental Radiology Certified, State of Nebraska Coronal Polish Certified, State of Nebraska Ability to work effectively in a team environment A positive attitude and a strong commitment to patient care Why Join Us?
