Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times Provide vital signs monitoring and medical imaging support for patients with complex health needs Educate patients about treatment plans using clear dental terminology and ensure they understand post-procedure care instructions Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering the dental receptionist phone line, and managing medical documentation and records Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is required Familiarity with Dentrix enhances efficiency in record management Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and HIPAA regulations ensures compliance and accurate documentation Hands-on experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry or specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous Proficiency in taking X-rays, including pediatric radiography when needed, along with understanding anatomy knowledge for accurate imaging Experience with infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Ability to work effectively in a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for optimal patient care Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care!
