Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies in accordance with aseptic techniques Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance Record vital signs and medical history information accurately for each patient Provide patient education on procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization and sanitation procedures Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various specialties including pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics to facilitate effective communication and assistance Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings as well as pediatric dentistry environments Familiarity with medical coding and recordkeeping for accurate documentation of procedures Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail Join our team to contribute to providing exceptional dental care while developing your skills in a supportive environment.
