Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice Monday-Thursday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients on oral health. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize medical imaging systems to capture diagnostic images as needed. Maintain aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures when necessary, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient discharge. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge: Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices. Strong understanding of anatomy as it relates to dental health. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software systems. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry. Demonstrated ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively. Background in general dentistry practices is preferred.
