Pediatric Dental Assistant Locations: Decatur, Cumming, and Norcross, GA About Us: Our pediatric dental practice is dedicated to creating a fun, caring, and comfortable experience for every child who walks through our doors. Position Overview: We’re looking for a Pediatric Dental Assistant who is passionate about working with children, dependable, and eager to grow in their dental career. The ideal candidate is a true team player—someone who can adapt to patient needs, support their coworkers, and help maintain a positive, efficient environment. Responsibilities: Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during all procedures (four-handed dentistry) Take high-quality X-rays (must be strong and confident in radiography) Take impressions and assist with space retainers and other pediatric procedures Perform coronal polishing as part of patient care (certification required) Support with treatment planning and review insurance coverage with families Understand Georgia insurance requirements, including Medicaid (what’s covered and not) Help ensure each visit runs smoothly, from setup to cleanup Model a “patient-first” attitude—gentle, patient, and compassionate care for every child Be reliable and proactive — the first to arrive, the last to leave! Participate in training and team meetings; open to learning and supporting others Qualifications: Previous experience as a dental assistant (pediatric or orthodontic experience preferred) Coronal Polishing - required X-ray certification required Knowledge of space retainers, impressions, and treatment planning Strong understanding of dental insurance and Medicaid (GA preferred) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and be trained in pediatric-specific procedures Schedule: Full-time opportunities available across our Decatur, Cumming, and Norcross locations, must be able to cover two locations!
