Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Troy, MI

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in a dynamic dental clinic environment. Experience required. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, with experience in infection control and familiarity with dental software systems such as Opendental. This role is crucial in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Utilize a 3D scanner for capturing images and creating models as needed. Perform tasks such as taking vital signs and recording patient medical histories. Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation within the clinic's software systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, including sterilization of instruments. Requirements Familiarity with dental software systems, specifically Opendental, is not required but highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection control procedures. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technologies within the field.
