Duties Prepare treatment areas with sterile instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Curve Dental to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction, and supporting the dentist throughout procedures. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation or coding when necessary. Qualifications Experience working as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray processing, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with EMR systems like Curve Dental for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is highly desirable for working with young patients. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other specialists.
