Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. This position involves working closely with dentists and assisting in various dental procedures while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling, polishing, and applying preventive materials. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials, as well as managing patient comfort. Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories accurately using Dentrix or similar systems. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Conduct radiographic imaging as needed, following safety protocols for medical imaging. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and familiarity with dental office operations. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding relevant to dental procedures. Experience working with Dentrix or similar practice management software. Ability to perform medical imaging safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients of all ages. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy clinic environment.
