About the Job: Dr's Fuhst-Wylie & Kahn, Family Dental Care is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. This position is slightly unique, see duties below: Schedule: Monday: 8:30am-5:45pm (Assist Dr. Kahn). Wednesday: 7:45am-5:45pm (Sterilization Tech/Rover). Thursday: 8:30am- 5:45pm (Assist Dr. Kahn). Friday: 7:30am-5:15pm (Assist Dr. Fuhst-Wylie). Unpaid 1-hour lunch: Mon-Thu 1:00-2:00 PM, Fri 12:00-1:00 PM. Requirements: Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive. Good interpersonal and verbal skills. Team player who enjoys helping wherever needed. Calm and focused under pressure. Experience with computers and software like Dentrix and Dexis. Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or dental assisting experience required. X-ray certification required. CPR certification required. OSHA training required (can provide if needed). Assistant Duties Escort patients to operatory and help patients feel comfortable. Set up operatories for procedures. Anticipate dentist's needs and perform expanded functions and other tasks as assigned by dentist. Begin treatment notes, review health history, take blood pressure. Keep operatory organized, stocked, clean and ready. Adhere to all OSHA regulations for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and handpieces. Maintain lab case management system. Clinical Rover Duties : Assist Hygienists and Doctors prepping and cleaning operatories between patients. Bring patients back to the operatories, take blood pressure and check health history. Maintain sterilization lab and instruments to the highest standard. Stock and clean as needed. Maintain lab case management system. Any additional support the team may need. Benefits (after 90 days): 80 hours PTO + Paid Holidays. Simple IRA with up to 3% match. Continuing education stipend. $300 Quarterly Bonus.
