Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of dental assisting, including chairside assisting, pediatric dentistry, Invisalign, ortho (willingness to be trained) and proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth workflow within the dental clinic. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays, including dental imaging for diagnostic purposes. Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Manage dental documentation, including medical records and coding, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize 3D scanners for impressions as needed for prosthodontics or orthodontic procedures. Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable environment during their visits. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Qualifications Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent. Experience with EMR systems, particularly Eaglesoft. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, general dentistry practices, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Proficient in taking X-rays and understanding medical/dental imaging protocols. Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required.
