Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Complete patient assessments to ensure safe and individualized treatment. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain excellent infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Accurately update and manage patient records using EMR system. Dentrix Ascend. Collaborate with dentists during procedures and support care as needed. Provide outstanding, compassionate patient care with strong communication and professionalism. (Optional) For hygienists choosing the accelerated schedule — work alongside your own dedicated assistant to keep the day running efficiently. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license (or ability to obtain Colorado licensure). Experience in a dental office setting; general dentistry experience preferred. Strong grasp of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered mindset.
