Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to provide maternity leave coverage at our private general dental practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in p general dentistry, with proficiency in dental documentation, infection control, and patient care. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient health and comfort while working within a collaborative and professional environment. Candidates should possess familiarity with EMR systems, dental terminology, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Review and update patient medical records accurately using EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care. Maintain strict infection control protocols, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Conduct patient assessments and review medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Collaborate with dentists to ensure seamless patient care delivery in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Experience with Open Dental preferred but any history with EMR systems is appropriate. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding. Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail during documentation review and clinical procedures.
